6 October: Annapurna Circuit

We've been trekking for 6 days now along the Annapurna Circuit which
is over 200km long. We're having a rest/acclimatisation day in Manang,
a small village at 3,540 metres in the Himalayas.

The scenery along the trail has been absolutely amazing. Today we went
to see the local llama who gave us his blessing for the safe crossing
of Thorung La -mountain pass at 5,416 metres. We're still several days
away from the pass, and tomorrow we start a side trip to see the
world's highest lake, Tilocho, at 5,500 metres. It'll take us a couple
of days to reach it.

Web connection is very expensive and not fast enough for uploading
photos to the blog, so you'll have to wait until we're back in
civilasation. We're very well, feeling fit and extremely happy!
